You don’t need to know which pipe is leaking. Useful information to have ready includes:
- The room affected and what sits above it.
- When you first noticed the patch and whether it is spreading.
- Any link to rain, showers, baths or other water use.
- Previous checks, repairs or reports.
- Access arrangements, especially in flats.
- Whether there is active dripping, sagging or water near electrics.
Ask about the scope, price, access, repairs and reporting before booking.
